Abstract: |
The paper describes the innovative design of the bearings utilized for the Bangkok Monorail System. The requirements of the bearings included high resistance to transversal moments, absence of mechanical plays, long service life and fatigue resistance. In the paper are analyzed the design concepts, the innovative special sliding material granting a very long life and the test performed to verify the mechanical and fatigue resistance. |
