March 2002 | Riddel House (built in the 1930s to accommodate nurses) is demolished to make room for the new children's hospital. |
September 2002 | Foundations are completed. |
October 2002 | Work on the concrete structure of the building begins. |
March 2003 | Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, lays the foundation stone of the new hospital. |
November 2003 | Topping-out ceremony. |
March 2005 | Construction is completed. |
31 October 2005 | Opening of the fully operational hospital. |
