Notes

The name of the sculpture is inspired by a Linford Christie quote who claimed to have started on the "B" of the starter gun’s bang when he won an Olympic gold medal in the 100 meter sprint.

180 tapering tubes or spikes made of weathering steel radiate from a center core. Their length varies between 2.9 and 35 meters. Five of them serve as support for the sculpture and are connected to the pile caps of the foundation.
