Jointless and joint reduced construction - Optimization in building construction

Since the first advices from Falkner almost 30 years ago concerning the conception of jointless high-rising structures the findings about the physical phenomena which are causing restraint and the tools for their calculational handling have changed significantly. Based on the relevant deforming influences on a jointless high-rising construction and with the help of engineering calculations it is illustrated that even extensive constructions can be built without joints. Using different execution examples theoretical considerations will be verified by means of realised projects.
