Abstract:

Diagonal ZeroZero Tower: structure above ground level

The 27-storey high ZeroZero tower (of which 25 floors are above ground level) reaches a height of 118 m (110 m above ground level). Its basic structural arrangement corresponds to a "tube-in-tube" type system, consisting of a double vertical tube system formed by the inner core working together with the structural facade, connected through the floor slabs. Even though the core is the fundamental lateral load resisting system, the contribution of the facade, formed by a double assembly of inner vertical columns and outer sloping elements, is essential.
