In order to study the flexural behavior of bulb T-beam, a full-scaled specimen was test until failure. The prestress friction loss, load-displacement relationship, crack distribution and failure mode of the specimen were measured. It showed that obvious friction existed between plate-type bend device using 16Mn and steel strand and the frictional coefficient equals 0.25. The failure mode of the test beam conformed to the design criterion of balanced-reinforced beam. Additionally, the test results were compared to the results calculated by guidelines including JTJ 3362-2018, GB 50010- 2010, ACI 318m-14 and Eurocode 2. It showed that all the guidelines could accurately predict the cracking moment, but overestimate the ultimate flexural capacity. Eurocode 2 and JTG 3362-2018 could accurately determine the deformation and crack width, respectively. |
