Abstrait:

The new high-speed railway line Hannover-Würzburg and its connection to the existing trunk line Würzburg-Aschaffenburg crosses the Valley of the Main River at Gemünden, Veitshöchheim and Nantenbach on bridges with a total length of 793.5 m, 1,280 m and 694.5 m, respectively. The approach spans of all three bridges correspond basically to the Rahmenplanung für Talbrücken (General Design for Viaducts). For the main bridges, special designs were required due to the large main spans of 135 m, 162 m and 208 m. These main spans are the longest of all bridges and viaducts built for the new high-speed railway lines in Germany. All bridges are double track railway bridges.
