The Lavis Bridge, Italy

This paper describes a bridge recently constructed in the province of Trento, Italy, which overpasses the Brennero Motorway and the Avisio River with a steel-concrete composite structure that introduces innovative features both in relation to construction system and with regard to erection methods. The A22 Motorway discussed in this paper, is traversed by a girder with a span of 120 m and a mid-span height of 2,40 m, set in place by rotation.
