Abstrait: |
The wide scale use of bio-based materials, especially those that come from crop by-products have the potential to considerably reduce the embodied energy of construction materials. Traditional codes of practice are not well suited to the use of these materials nor do they embody circular economy principals. The gaps with current codes of practice will be outlined, and a new ‘Framework’ for a code of practice is proposed that would better suit the use of these materials. |
