Abstrait: | This paper analyses the stiffness of elastica-shaped active arches subject to a point load at the centre. The relation between stiffness and the angle at the ends has been quantified for different slenderness. Compressive axial forces in elastica arches produce a loss of stiffness lower than 10%. |
