Abstrait:

Currently the design of prestressed concrete beams bridges in many countries is done without efficiently taking advantage of all the qualities of the materials or the real capacity of the resistant integral section, which results in expensive structures used at half or minimum capacity. There are several cross sections and several structures for the solution of a deck of given dimensions, but the most convenient from these three points of view will be the one that provides the minimum amount of materials used. With this objective, several solutions are evaluated in a deck by exploring the use of various cross-sections of beams to compare their performance and its economy, durability, versatility and sustainability.
