Weihe river system, which is the structural frame of physical geography in Xi’an metropolitan area, has close relation to the development and construction of cities and towns. The contemporary city construction aggravated the degeneration of the river system’s natural environment, which has greatly constrained the sustainable development of local area. The thesis presents the conception of constructing Weihe river system eco-corridors, and discusses the corridors’ construction methods in macro-scale, middle-scale and micro-scale respectively. Furthermore, it puts forward the basic strategies for promoting ecological development of cities and towns as follow: optimizing regional landscape pattern to form the overall pattern of coordination between urban and rural; guiding the development of cities combined with ecological planning of river system, and improving the layout of cities relying on the river eco-corridors, so as to promote the ecological harmony between cities and rivers. |
