| Abstrait: | The emblematic entrance pavilion for the Expo 2017 in Astana is the 80-meter “Sphere”, which is the largest closed glazed sphere in the world. The present paper gives insight into its geometry optimisation for production, its structural analysis, its glazing and its fabrication and installation. |
