In China’s central and western rural areas, Raw-soil structure is still a common building form with more than 30 million inhabitants living in houses of this kind of form. After sufficient study on the Raw-soil structures in China, the method of developing software of Raw-soil structure was proposed based on Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept. The characteristics of BIM software of Raw-soil structure were described; the architecture of BIM software of Raw-soil structure was designed; the core techniques, such as Parameterized modeling method and Data sharing interface, used to implement BIM concept were explained. The first Raw-soil structure software based on BIM concept was developed under the graphic platform of AutoCAD using ObjectARX. Finally, the main functional features of the Raw-soil structural BIM software are discussed. |
