Abstrait: |
Osmangazi Bridge is a suspended cables bridge located in the eastern end of Marmara Sea. It is the fourth suspended bridge in the word in terms of length of the central span (1550 m). RINA Consulting was involved in the detailed design and supply of a distributed and interconnected network of hybrid sensors that provides a real-time monitoring of the structural condition of the Bridge during its operative life. Various types of sensors have been installed to provide an overall monitoring of the most important physical parameters. The monitoring system is integrated with the SCADA by means of dedicated management software. The implemented monitoring methodology offers the possibility to real-time assess the integrity of the structure without using visual inspections, which is of great advantage especially in areas where accessibility is limited or unfeasible. |
