The footbridge in Lourdes Sanctuary is a movable bridge upon the Gave de Pau. The approach of the design is modest and sober. The structure has a really high slenderness (around 1/100) with a simple design, as well geometrical as on material. Duplex stainless steel is used for the structure and also the deck, for its good mechanical qualities and its durability. The deck has nor coating, nor surfacing. |
