Abstrait: |
This paper describes a project to assess the condition of the concrete foundations of the electricity pylons of two lines of Switzerland’s extra-high-voltage transmission grid. The solution proposed by the engineering firm involves the use of high-tech non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment and a future-oriented “asset management” approach to the storage, management and sharing of data on a cloud-based platform. This solution demonstrates how such technology can optimize the long- term maintenance of structures and infrastructure – especially in the case of multi-asset networks. |
