Within ten months a building complex had to be planned and realized on a plot of 33,000 m², providing space for factory premises for the development and production of photovoltaic panels, consisting of a multi-story production hall and an administration building connected by bridges. The task was to construct an energetically optimized building of high energy efficiency as well as sophisticated design at low-cost, to be realized in an extremely tight time frame, resulting in innovative structural details, due to, amongst others, the rapid construction progress required. The hallmark of the building is the cantilever steel roof structure, projecting far at the smooth transition to the solid structure, designed for supporting the SOLON photovoltaic modules. |
