Footbridge over DK-1 road in Wrzosowa

Footbridge over DK-1 road in Wrzosowa was design and built in existing footbridge site. The previous footbridge, due to the bad technical condition, had to be rebuilt. Technical condition and necessity of adaptation to regulations in force did not fit the old footbridge for being repaired.

In the paper are described reasons of taking a decision to demolish the old footbridge and build the new one. The reasons of choosing the variant of building footbridge instead of pedestrian tunnel or pedestrian crossing are shown.

The foundations set up during the design process, which have influence on the structure type, are described. The structure of the footbridge is described. The scheme of suspension are shown and shortly talked over.
