Abstrait:

A unique suspension method developed over a period of more than 20 years produces a rational structure in the form of a single span composite bridge or a beam string structure. For these structures, the steel members and concrete deck are constructed on the spanning cables. During construction, the horizontal forces due to suspension cables were anchored into the ground. But after completion of the bridge, cable forces are converted to a self-anchoring system. Therefore, these forces act as prestressing forces of the deck. The first example of the construction of this type of bridge with this unique erection method was the Ganmon Bridge. And the Seishun Bridge is the overhanging structure and a double row of suspension cables is extended. The primary cables are used to support the deck load, and the secondary cables are used to adjust the sag of the primary cables. The use of a double suspension structure improved stability during the erection process. A single span composite bridge or beam strings structure can be constructed without temporary supports or falsework. A single span structure requires less excavation than other bridge types and can minimize the environmental impact of the construction. Using this method to bridge a deep valley produces benefits in terms of both construction costs and sustainability. Moreover, lighter girders with new materials can extend the span lengths of this type of construction.
