Abstrait:

This paper developed a simplified analytical model for predicting the time-history of ship impact loading on the bridge. First, the FE models of 5 ships were developed. Then, the interaction between the ship and the bridge was decoupled by employing the rigid bridge assumption, and in total 45 impact force time-history curves were obtained by numerical simulations. Afterwards, a simplified analytical model for predicting the impact force time history was proposed, with the corresponding parameters determined depending on the 45 curves of impact force time-history. In addition, to illustrate the efficacy of the proposed model, the demonstration case using a cable-stayed bridge model was presented.
