This paper deals with bridge management. It shows practices used in Wallonia (Belgium) based on simple rules, intuitive, accessible to everyone and founded on common sense and efficiency. Two concrete tools have been designed to this end: the "BDOA", a database related to bridges and engineering structures, and the "Bridge-Boy", a software used on site which helps to achieve bridge inspections, with a repeated and professional approach. |
