The roof of Tianjin West Railway Station is a single-layer lattice shell with span of 114m, rise of 36m and longitudinal length of over 300m. The shell is composed of 33 pairs of cross-arches. The members of the arch adopt irregular box sections. Special architecture layout forms transfer between roof and substructure on the high level. This paper introduces the structure system, the section layout and the structure characteristics of the roof structure, etc. The analysis results show that the transfer structure in this project could connect the roof and substructure reliably; and the discontinuous layout of the longitudinal members weakens the temperature effect on the structure effectively. In this paper, solid model is established to verify the availability of the layout of section stiffener, which is introduced as well.
