A new ice rink is being built in the town of Merano in the South Tyrol region of Italy. The new ice rink has been erected on a relatively flat and open site. The design aimed to limit the height of the structure as much as possible, as well as its total size, in order to avoid monumental appearance out of harmony with its surroundings. The present article focuses on the roof structure of the ice rink. |
