This state-of-the-art report has been prepared by IABSE Working Commission 2 (Steel, Timber and Composite Structures) and deals with composite railway bridges. Topics such as the interdependence between construction methods and design, as well as the subjects of fatigue and shear connections are discussed. In addition, examples of composite railway bridges are presented and future developments are considered. |
