Abstrait:

Tel-Aviv is considered to be the city with the largest number of Bauhaus-style buildings in the world. Most of these buildings have deteriorated since they were built in the 1930s and are in a very poor state of repair. In order to save some of these buildings, the Municipality has prepared a plan to promote their renovation. The preservation of old buildings such that they may serve as modern buildings raises many engineering problems, the most serious of which is foundation retrofitting.
