Sanierungsvorschlag für den Turm der Oberkirche in Bad Frankenhausen / A proposal for the restoration of an inclining church tower at Bad Frankenhausen

The tower of the Oberkirche at Bad Frankenhausen is inclining as a result of ground movements. Based on earlier documents and on the results of additional experimental investigations, a new safety evaluation has been undertaken. Furthermore, the authors tried to numerically simulate the geodynamic processes taking place in the ground by using geological models. As a result, a technical proposal for the preservation of the structure is presented.
