Based on a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of present prestressed concrete technology, the authors present a completely new prestressed concrete technology – vertically tensioned prestressed concrete – which is good in performance, economical in the use of materials, and convenient in construction. The paper gives a detailed description of the prestressing method, manufacturing equipment and its fittings of vertically tensioned prestressed concrete beams, a nalyzes the force-bearing state, and presents a practical calculation method. |
