Abstrait:

Japan's tradition of modular architecture has made it ready to exploit the innovations of intelligent construction technology. Developments in construction automation in Japan are pointing the way to increased efficiency and quality for the construction industry, from planning and design to construction and operation. Applications of advanced technology are being developed for tunneling, landfill and bridges, as well as for highrise construction. The systems being developed combine CAD/CAM prefabrication with task execution performed by robots. Applying these proven technologies promises a leaner and more cost-efficient industry in the 21st century.
