The request of non-destructive methods for evaluation of the structural reliability is nowadays constantly increasing. The VCUPDATE solution for finite element model updating is presented. VCUPDATE is a Scilab code performing an iterative updating algorithm interfaced with a finite element code (OpenSees or ANSYS) executing the numerical analysis. The code has been verified by many different applications on beams and stay cables. In this contribution, the code is applied to two real cases using OpenSees as well as ANSYS. |
