Performance efforts for the planning of new traffic roads have been enhanced continuously during recent years. From the first planning stage onwards, the design engineer has to fulfill a number of new, additional task. By way of a big project of the German Federal Railways (DB) a large bridge of the planned new construction section Stuttgart - Ulm across the Fils valley in the area of the Swabian Alb, an account is given of modern working- and planning techniques, assisted by computer-aided design (CAD), as applied by the design engineer. |
