Bridge Management involves a number of activities, such as the collection of inventory data, inspections, assessment of damaged structures, administration of heavy transports, allocation of funds for repair and maintenance, etc., all with the purpose of ensuring traffic safety and maintaining the bridge stock in the desired condition at the lowest possible cost. One of the main objectives of a Bridge Management System is to help the administration maintain the bridges at the lowest possible cost. The present description concentrates on the activities leading to the priority ranking of rehabilitation works. |
