Modern industrial culture is based on the implementation of quality control procedures in order to guarantee a standard quality of products. The problem of ensuring a standard quality to the results of finite-element computations has been a source of concern for many years. A large number of possible pitfalls of finite-element computations could be automatically identified and eliminated. The required software development is, in some cases, very limited but a comprehensive solution requires considerable investment. Still, this is not an acceptable excuse for not providing at least an intermediate level of automated error assessment. |
