Chongqing, a city with a history of more than 3,000 years, is located in Sichuan Province, in southwest China. As an important industrial city, it is an economic center on the upper Yangtze River, a port for foreign trade and a hub of water- and land-based transportation. Chongqing Second Yangtze River Bridge is constructed at the industrial area of the west part of Chongqing proper. The new bridge is 12.5 km from the completed Chongqing First Yangtze River Bridge. The total length of the road development project related to the bridge is approximately 10 km, including main bridge, approach bridge and southern and northern approach roads. |
