Care or repair? Home improvement agencies in the UK
The particular characteristics of the UK housing stock and the increasing proportion of older households on low incomes that own their own homes have given rise to a problem which is probably unique in terms of magnitude. This has led to the growth of services to help older home owners to repair and improve their houses on a scale which is not found elsewhere in Europe or North America
