Abstrait:

The Guamà bridge, crossing the Rio Guamà in Parà, Brazil, was completed in October 2002. The bridge site is about 40 km from Belem, capital of Parà. It has a total length of almost 2 km and includes two approach viaducts and a central bridge. This central bridge is a three span cable-stayed bridge with a central span of 320 m. The bridge has a total length of 1930 m and includes two approach viaducts, of 719 and 629 m, and a cable-stayed bridge of a total length of 584 m. The deck accommodates two road lanes plus an emergency path and two pedestrian walkways. The approach viaducts have typical spans of 45 m. Decks are composed by precast prestressed concrete girders with I-shaped cross sections, connected by transverse beams and supporting a top concrete slab continuous over piers.
