Due to the shape of the stress-strain curve and the typical fracture phenomenon, high strength concrete (HSC) is considered as a brittle material. However, structural members in reinforced high strength concrete show a high flexural ductility. In this paper, these apparently contradictory observations are investigated in more detail. |
