MULTBEAM, a Lotus 1-2-3 template, can be used to analyze simple-span, multigirder steel highway bridge superstructures. Since it was developed for in house use by Sverdrup Corp., this program has been used for the preliminary design of a number of New Jersey Turnpike bridges that are going to be widened. Using MULTBEAM, Sverdrup is now able to analyze beams in secondsan operation that took four to five hours per beam if done manually. |
