Investigation of the unsteady groundwater table in a Hele-Shaw apparatus.We investigate the two-dimensional, plane, unsteady groundwater lowering towards a trench by means of small-scale model tests using a Hele-Shaw apparatus. Doing so, we also check the validity of the empirical equation of Sichardt concerning the limit slope at the boundary of the groundwater table. |
