Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow, Russia - Structural design and fabrication of steel roofing and bridge.

The new Terminal 3 was built as part of the significant expansion and modernization to increase passenger capacities at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow (Figure 1). Bollinger + Grohmann Ingenieure carried out the structural design for various canopies and a footbridge between parking garage and terminal building under the supervision of the Arnold AG. In the later stage of the project Müller Offenburg GmbH & Co. KG (MOG), Heinrich Lamparter Stahlbau GmbH & Co. KG (StaLA) and the Radabau GmbH were assigned the manufacturing contract. The following article deals with the peculiarities during the design stage and fabrication of individual structural elements of this particular project.
