In Daniel Libeskind's studio
On the occasion of the Lectio Magistralis he held for the IX international Grand Prix Casalgrande Padana architectural award, Daniel Libeskind welcomed us into his studio to tell us about his work and his very personal approach to the poetics of building. He lingered on his passion for freehand drawing, his keenness on sustainable projects, his thoughtful relationship with his assistants when developing works that are as autobiographical as they are many-voiced, his deep bonds with the city of Milan and, last but not least, the reasons why he used ceramics in his City Life project: from the relation with tradition to the great innovative character of such material in terms of performance and expressiveness.
