Abstrakt: | Cheon-Sa Bridge (Section I), completed and opened traffic in 2019, is a FCM (free cantilever method)-anchored hybrid two-pylon cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 510 m. A distinct feature of the bridge is its high (195 m) and low (135 m) pylons with three bundles of cables anchored to the pier-tables of side spans. This exceptional structural scheme gives drastic improvement of structural safety during construction stage as well as enhancement of bridge aesthetics. The link is directly exposed to the Yellow Sea and the site is characterized by strong winds during typhoon events. |
