Modeling Zaha Hadid's Grand Rabat Theatre with Blender
This is a time lapse video of Zaha Hadid Architects' modeling techniques, demonstrated with Grand Rabat Theatre and Blender. Zaha Hadid's Design process uses Maya for conceptual architectural design. Subdivision poly modeling is not widely used in the architectural field (outside of a a dozen+ practices), yet the workflow offers fantastic opportunities, offering an organic and expressive path for unleashing initial ideas, compared to Nurbs modeling. I have been inspired to demonstrate Blender's robust modeling capabilities, which can significantly aide the initial creative process, in a similar manner as Maya. blenderarchitecture
