Shanghai Tower is a high-rise building composed of “mega frame core wall” lateral resisting system. The structural stability has been concerned widely. A modified method is used to check the rigidity-gravity ratio according to the tower’s shape and load distribution characteristics. The P- Delta effect of the structure under wind and seismic loads has also been evaluated. Calculation shows that the rigidity-gravity ratio meets the code’s requirements and the P-Delta effect can controll under a low level. The structural linear elastic buckling analysis has also been carried out to prove the good stability of the structure. Based on the compartmental mega frame model, the critical load of the super column has been solved by the linear elastic buckling analysis. Then, the effective length of the super column can be obtained according to Euler Formula. |
