Abstrakt: | The Hard Rock stadium (formerly the Sunlife stadium) in Miami is home to the Miami Dolphins NFL and University of Miami football teams. The 65,000 seat facility has undergone a major USD 425 million renovation over the last 3 years and is now a truly world class venue. One of the most striking features of the new Hard Rock stadium is the giant cable supported canopy roof with a total surface area of 58,000m² including 8800m² of translucent ETFE. The canopy is supported by a Full Locked Coil structural cable system radiating out from four new steel pylons located at each of the corner sections of the roof. The cable system is made up of 64 individual cable assemblies. Redaelli scope of supply was the manufacturing, supply, specialist tensioning equipment and installation supervision. |
