The Ting Kau Bridge in Hong Kong is one of the few multi-span cable-stayed bridges ever built and, with 1,177 m of cable-supported deck, it is one of the longest cables stayed bridges in the world. The bridge is one of a multitude of infrastructure projects for the new Chep Lak Kok airport, located on Lantau Island some 30 km from Hong Kong island. The Ting Kau Bridge and approach viaducts will link the western New Territories and the mainland to an expressway called Lantau Fixed Crossing, which connects the new Airport with Kowloon and Hong Kong. |
