Control and analysis of the assembly of the stay bridge Fernando Reig upon the River Barxell in Alcoy

It's described the program of control done during the construction of the "Fernando Reig" stay bridge, emphasizing the following aspects: - "In situ" weights control. - Evaluation of the mechanic properties of the different "in situ" and precast concretes. - Temperature and envoironmental controls. - Measurement of concrete and stay strains. - Continuous control of pylon and deck movements. The values foreseen in the project and obtained, are contrasted, and practical conclusions are stablished about the real behaviour of this type of structures.
