Exclusiva - Laktha Center - design concept

New multi-purpose center in St. Petersburg, 10 km away from the city center, overlooking the Baltic Sea. The center’s close relationship with the sea was stressed from the very first project sketches: large architectural complexes were conceived as huge icebergs emerging from icy, deep-blue waters. The buildings were arranged according to a centripetal layout. Their volumes were then all brought together into a unitary composition through a large multi-purpose square, 10 meters above sea level. A platform with a sequence of solids and voids gives a striking vibe to the front facing the sea
