Environmental compatibility is closely interconnected with the principles of the theory of environmentally compatible structures (ECS), which include the principle of limits. This principle is interpreted by the following statement: In a closed system of limited space, material and energy resources for buildings (demonstrated symbolically by Fig.3), an unlimited quantitative growth is not possible. Therefore, the choice of EC structural systems, structural forms and materials should satisfy the limiting conditions as above, including the geological conditions. |
