The project Water for Life was designed by the PROGRAM COLLECTIVE team, formed by Mona Kin, Todd Palmer, Olga Subiros and Simon Taylor. They were also in charge of the construction management. There are three parts: the “aljibe”, a recipient for water, the “rain”, and the impressive “SPLASH” sculpture. All parts are set within a 20-story atrium at the core of a new skyscraper which was an icon of the ExpoZaragoza2008 and the region’s tallest building. Here we describe the structural concept of the different parts, the construction process and a general view of the overall project. |
